Mobile/Desktop Software Developer

Role and Responsibilities

  • Intermediate Developer responsible for developing mobile and desktop applications focused on the location-based mobile applications. The applications will have a mobile client, desktop application and server side components.
  • Participation of projects that will be executed using agile development methodology.
  • Utilization of source code management methodologies in group environments.
  • Ability to lead two part-time developer researchers.
  • Reports directly to Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • At least 3 years of development experience of complex software systems, including Desktop and/or Server-side technologies.
  • At least 1 year of development experience in mobile development on iOS. Preferably with some Android experience.
  • Relevant post-secondary education with experience in computer science or software engineering.
  • Experience in complex, time sensitive projects.
  • Comfortable in working in a startup environment with an ability to deal with ambiguous and dynamic requirements.
  • Passionate, self-motivated software developer with a strong focus on quality.
